AboutA mysterious Elezen that was excavated from the ruins surrounding the crystal tower. His body was found inside a sleep capsule made from allagan technology by I'zhet when Cid had instructed the order of Noah to survey the area before they tried to enter the tower itself. The sleep capsule was surprisingly hard to open and was unfortunately forced to be broken in order to get the sleeping duskwight out of it. To everyone's surprise the body didn't seem to have aged one bit since it had been sealed and put to a deep slumber.It took a lot of time to get Yvain's vegetative body out without the risk of harmimg him and even more time to nurse him back to health to the point where he would start interacting and reacting to his environment. Even if he was showing signs of recovering and being able to take care of himself he seemed very strange and not at all accustomed to Eorzea and things that people of this era considered normal and part of everyday life.Yvain wouldn't interact with anyone let alone speak for months after he'd fully recovered but that didn't discourage I'zhet. In fact it made the Seeker even more intrigued and determined to get to know his new companion. Yvain comes of as a bit intimidating due to his preference in observing things from a distance rather than interacting directly with people. It's not until after the crystal tower raids that Yvain grows close to I'zhet and follows him around. He ends up becoming almost like a protective older brother to I'zhet even if he still struggles to understand Eorzean lifestyle and the people of this era but he seems to go out of his way to keep I'zhet safe and keep him out of trouble for the most part.Unfortunately due to the secrecy surrounding the strange Duskwight most people tend to fear him and misinformation spreads across the people that he's the actual warrior of light.
